Palma de Mallorca: A Thrilling Mediterranean Holiday

Welcome to Palma de Mallorca, a sun-kissed island in the heart of the Mediterranean, where adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences await at every turn. As the sun sets on a beautiful Saturday evening, my journey begins with excitement and anticipation. Let me take you on a thrilling ride through the captivating landscapes, vibrant nightlife, and hidden gems of this enchanting destination.

Day 1: Saturday Night Lights and Rhythmic Beats

After a smooth arrival on a Saturday night, I wasted no time in embracing the island's allure. Renting a car with Drivalia, I set off to Magaluf, a buzzing town known for its lively atmosphere.

Hotel Samos became my home away from home, as I stayed with a dear friend, setting the stage for shared adventures and laughter.

As the night progressed, the energy escalated. A quick snack fueled our excitement as we headed to meet another old friend who took us to the iconic BCM club. The rhythmic beats, pulsating lights, and a sea of joyous faces made this night truly unforgettable.

Day 2: Beach Bliss and City Vibes

The next morning, the allure of the sea beckoned, and we headed to Magaluf Beach. However, the warm and oily waters led us to an impromptu change of plans, and we decided to explore the picturesque Port d'Andratx.

Port d'Andratx, with its stunning sea views and charming Mediterranean houses, filled our day with tranquillity and wonder.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we ventured to Palma city for a dose of excitement. My old friend's pizzeria, L'Artista, treated our taste buds to delightful flavours, and we were treated to an unforgettable night at the famous Shamrock pub, where live music and vibrant vibes kept us dancing.

Day 3: A Day of Serenity and Relaxation

The third day dawned, and a bit of fatigue set in. Opting for a relaxed morning, I indulged in much-needed rest and recuperation.

In the afternoon, the hotel pool provided the perfect escape, as I basked in the sun and embraced the warm Mediterranean breeze.

As the night approached, the energy surged, and I couldn't resist exploring Palma city once more. Shopping, an aperitif at the Sky Bar in Hotel Almudaina, and a typical Mallorcan dinner at Café Ca'n Toni became the ingredients of a perfect evening.

Day 4: Majestic Mountains and Beautiful Villages

The fourth day brought adventure and exploration as we embarked on a road trip to discover the island's natural wonders.

Alcudia Beach, though windy and less inviting, didn't deter us. Instead, we discovered the scenic village of Cala Sant Vincenc, perched on a cliff, offering breathtaking views.

Unfortunately, the red flag prevented us from swimming, so we embarked on a thrilling drive through the mountains of Mallorca. The awe-inspiring Mirador des Gorg Blau made the journey worthwhile.

Port de Soller, with its Portofino-style charm, became the perfect spot for a refreshing drink before we visited my old friend's pizzeria, where the food never disappoints.

Day 5: Sun-Kissed Sands and Unforgettable Nights

The fifth day called for relaxation as fatigue settled in from the previous day's drive. Palmanova Beach, next to Magaluf, welcomed us with its golden sands and crystal-clear waters, offering a perfect setting to unwind.

In the late afternoon, we returned to Palmanova for dinner by the beach, indulging in the holiday atmosphere to the fullest.

As the sun set on our last night, my old friend, Leonardo, invited us to the BCM club once more, where we celebrated with the legendary Steve Aoki and an abundance of drinks.

Day 6: Farewell to a Dreamy Paradise

The final day dawned, and a mix of emotions filled the air. We chose to relax at the Porto Pi shopping center, allowing the island's charm to linger in our hearts.

As the departure time approached, we bid a bittersweet farewell to Palma de Mallorca, cherishing the memories we've made and promising to return for more adventures.

From vibrant nights at the BCM club to discovering hidden beaches and embracing the island's natural beauty, Palma de Mallorca has exceeded expectations, leaving an indelible mark on my travel journey. As I board the flight back, I carry with me the spirit of exploration and an eagerness to share my Oigres Travel Diary with the world. Until we meet again, adiós Mallorca! It is worth trying alternative places too..
